Maybe I can help. If you mean discounts to certain specific groups then you can create a coupon code with a discount percentage or amount and tell the group what the code is to use in the shopping cart.
If you are doing it only to certain specific individuals you can use the above coupon code or you could create gift certificates for each individual and they can apply that each time they purchase.
